12 August 2010 - Blind Customer

so I came across a very fussy customer yesterday, who was very demanding and everything. after a long struggle, he finally bought one notebook.

but one thing that got me extremely irritated was that he kept fussing about whether the screen was LED or LCD when there was no way to check through the hardware status. he kept fussing about it for like 30 minutes. I swear I was so annoyed that I didn't felt like doing his business. I had to make Tongfen wait for hours because I had to run up and down the whole day.

so after convincing him in 3 different ways, he finally bought it and left. when he got home, he was so angry that I didn't pass him the adapter (oh you'll know what happens next). he called and screamed over the phone here and there, claiming that the adapter was not inside.

so the call was somehow like this:

Me: "yes Mr, you said you cannot find your adapter inside?"

Old Man: "YES, I REALLY HATE SUCH SITUATIONS MAN, NOW I HAVE TO COME ALL THE WAY BACK, NOW GOT TRAFFIC JAM YOU KNOW ! WHAT TIME YOUR SHOP CLOSE? YOU MUST WAIT FOR ME I TELL YOU"

Me: "yeah we close at 8, are you sure you checked the box thoroughly?"

Old Man: "YES LAH !@#$%!@#"
and he simply went blahblahblah.

so well, that got me even more pissed off. but the fact was I myself did not check whether everything was inside before he left. so when he came back he didn't really raise his voice but I could feel that he was quite irritated because he keep saying its a waste of his time, and don't waste his time. I tapped him on the shoulder and apologised, and requested that he passed me his box.

and so I opened it, showed the adapter right in front of his face so as to keep his mouth shut. the most wtf thing was, he said his maid almost threw that away. after returning him the box I said
"please check properly next time, had your maid threw that box away, good luck to you."
embarrassed, he left hurriedly, probably afraid of further embarrassment.

thanks dude. if you ain't an old man, I would have blasted you just like how you blasted me through the bloody phone.

I was so pissed before he came, I told Tongfen I will blast him if I managed to find the adapter inside the box. apparently I didn't, because of his age. but well, working for that few months, he is the worst customer I ever came across so far. for the sake of that $40, I think my life shortened by 40 months -_-

probably next time I will be facing more challenging customers that may come out with more stunts, then my life would be shortened even further.

Conclusion is, Fucked up customers, I provide such Fucked up service. Period.
